- I Am More Than An Athlete
ages 5-7
Tools and conversations to equip younger athletes to separate
their performance as an athlete from their identity as an
individual.
- Peace Comes in Pieces
ages 8+
Competitive children often set large goals for themselves. This conversation equips athletes to break down a big goal into a manageable preparation plan. Peace Comes in Pieces focuses on the importance of the personal development found in the journey rather than the destination.
- Remember your why
ages 8+
Actively focusing on WHY we began our chosen competitive
journey is the first step to emotional centering. This focus shifts
anxiety or disappointment to gratitude, determination and
teamwork. Remember Your Why can set the stage with positivity
before a competition/season or be used to re-center mid-season.

Leah has been a competitive dancer since 2014. On stage she is a fearless entertainer; a performer that gives
110% to every audience she encounters- but the “audience” in the mirror has sometimes seen a different
side...insecurity, doubt, loneliness, athlete identity and performance anxieties.
In a particularly anxious moment before a national competition, a friend simply reminded Leah to
“remember your ‘why.’”
Often when we experience anxiety, stress or disappointment in the competitive journey we’ve chosen,
returning our focus to WHY we began is the first step to emotionally re-centering. Doing so replaces the
negative emotions with gratitude, hope and determination.
With this simple reminder, Leah rallied and gave a confident and joyful performance.
Sometimes, we just need reminding.
Join us in connecting with young athletes to provide healthy growth opportunities, a network of support
and resources for balancing big goals and big feelings.
